If you’re a buyer on the marketplace, you can now earn marketplace credits when you places bids on auctions.
You will receive one marketplace credit for every bid placed on any auction, consecutive bids on the same auction will not earn you any credits though!
The benefits here are pretty useful, if you are a regular bidder you will build up a good number of marketplace credits and will be able to use them in the same way you use credits you may have purchased.
Your credits are added immediately to your credit balance as soon as you confirm a bid, and they can be used to add listings or add upgrades to your listings giving you greater exposure for your items and services.
