Earning money from affiliate marketing is not that easy if you have just started or are planning to get into this field. Most of the people fail to earn money from Internet marketing or affiliate marketing because of 2 main reasons:

• Build a website based on a single product and provide all the necessary information related to it so that the visitor doesn’t need to leave the website in order to find any related information and the visitor converts into a customer.
• Create a review site that reviews a few products of the same niche and provide the best review so that visitors can make a choice from the various products. Even if they choose a product that is not top-reviewed, you will still make money as you will be an affiliate for all the products listed.
• Build a content website and offer visitors products that are related to your niche. If you have an authoritative blog/website, the readers will trust you and they would be interested in knowing about the products that are being offered on the site and they would think that they can also trust the products as they being recommended by such a source.
Now comes the most crucial part of driving traffic to your site so that you can make a lot of sales and in turn, make a lot of cash. As mentioned before, Web 2.0 sites are best for driving traffic. Some of the ways through which you can drive traffic to your website are:
• Creating Squidoo lenses about the product or any other related information and leaving links to your website.
• Submitting articles to article directories like ezine articles and submitting your link in the resource box. You may also want to submit a product review but it should look genuine.
• Youtube marketing – Video sites like youtube can act as a great traffic source if you make a video on a product or review a product or present any other related information and watermark your domain name.
• Submitting a website as well as specific pages to social bookmarking sites can also help in bringing huge amounts of traffic.
• Participating in discussions on niche forums and posting your link where ever possible (without spamming) can also help the cause. If signature links are allowed, use them to your advantage.
• Blog commenting, PPC traffic, etc. can also help a lot in driving targeted traffic.
