Recently, it has been tough to register a domain name that is directly related to the topic/niche of your website. The biggest problem faced by people trying to register a domain is the availability of the name of their choice. People prefer to register a .com or a .net domain name but most of the good domain names are already taken so, it becomes a very difficult task. Domains ending with .com or .net are always preferred as they seem to have more authority than others.

If you plan to make a website promoting your goods or services, you need to get a .com or .net domain as it will help in generating faith among the visitors of the website and it can help in converting them into customers. More customers result into more money that can be earned from the website.

While ranking various websites, search engines take into account different factors like the name of the domain, its relation to the website, etc. So, if you have a domain name that is closely related to the website, search engines will give your site a higher rank than a domain that is not related to its website. You need to include the best keywords in your domain name. If you are unable to find an available domain name directly related to your product/service, you can try some variations like plural form or combining multiple keywords. But the domain name should not be too long as it will be difficult for people to remember it.

Sometimes, if none of the variations are working, you can try to add a number at an appropriate place in the domain name. Another option is to replace words by numbers. For example, replace ‘for’ by ‘4’. However, you should avoid ‘-‘ in your domain name as the such domain names look a bit unprofessional. But if no other option is available, you may go for it.

So, keep these tips in mind while registering your next domain name and get high ranks in search engines and make a lot of money!
